2016 Donelan Two Brothers Pinot Noir
Region: Sonoma County, California

Blend/Varietal:
100% Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes:
The Two Brothers Pinot Noir opens with a fresh and pretty bouquet of rose petals, cranberry, dried cherry, and crushed raspberries. On the palate, it offers a medley of deep, rich red fruits complemented by subtle spice and earthy undertones, leading to a harmonious and elegant finish.

Accolades:
This vintage received a score of 93 points from Jeb Dunnuck, highlighting its quality and craftsmanship.

Winemaker’s Notes:
Named after siblings Tripp and Cushing Donelan, the Two Brothers Pinot Noir is a blend of grapes sourced from multiple vineyards, including Steiner Ranch, Sonoma Mountain, Devoto, and Perli. Each vineyard contributes its unique character to the final blend. The wine undergoes native-yeast fermentation in small batches, with approximately 30% new French oak, and is aged for about 16 months before release.

Food Pairing:
This versatile Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck or pork loin accompanied by fruit compote. Its dark fruit, spice, and freshness also make it an excellent choice for game birds such as turkey, quail, or dove.
