Carmelo Rodero Crianza 2018 is a young red, very lively and aromatic, with a fruity load with a predominance of blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by dairy, balsamic notes and a mineral background. Coupage with 90% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon procendetes from 140 hectares of vineyards. These are distributed in different payments, thus taking advantage of different soils. The average age of the vineyard is more than 30 years, combining a younger vineyard with others that have around 100 vintages to their credit. Carmelo Rodero founded his winery - which currently has 90 hectares of vineyards around Pedrosa de Duero - in 1989, although his family had been dedicated to viticulture for more than four generations. True to its principles and persevering like few others, Rodero is currently one of the producers who best knows how to extract the power of the Tinta del País grape.
